    2. The surcharge waiver is exclusive of GST, and maximum surcharge waiver offered is Rs.100 per statement cycle per credit card account.

    How to redeem reward points of IRCTC SBI Platinum credit card

    Accrued rewards points can be redeemed by SBI customers using the following process explained below.

    Step 1: Login into IRCTC using the registered username and password linked to your loyalty number.

    Step 2: Choose the reward points option to pay for your new railway ticket at the payment gateway.

    Step 3: Rewards redemption can be done only on confirmed or RAC railway tickets booked for 1st Class AC, Executive Chair Car, AC 2 Tier, AC 2 Tier, and AC Chair Car.

    Step 4: Choose option ‘Redeem Loyalty points to pay for your travel ticket. 

    Note: Reward points can also be redeemed at Rs.1/reward point.

    Rules for Rewards Redemption

    1. The reward points can be redeemed only against the total ticket fare, service charges levied by IRCTC included.
    2. For individual passenger fares, the cardholder cannot redeem reward points.
    3. For more than one passenger, one has to redeem points equivalent to total fare. Part payment cannot be made for such transactions.
    4. In case you fall short of reward points, you can purchase them at Rs.1.50/reward point (plus taxes).
    5. If you cancel the redeemed tickets, only reward points would be credited back (SBI Reward Points, SBI Travel Reward Points, and Purchase Points) and not cash.
    6. The reward points will expire two years after the lapse of IRCTC Loyalty Membership.
